Accuris, formerly IHS and Techstreet, recently announced that they will no longer offer ASTM standards as of the end of 2026. This is big news, since the American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) is a critical publisher of testing standards. Their standards are used in nearly all industries to test and validate that parts and pieces meet certain requirements. ASTM standards can be purchased directly from ASTM or from resellers of ASTM standards such as Nimonik, Intertek Inform, or ANSI.
As a result of the Accuris announcement, ANSI and Nimonik will become the only providers where you have the advantage of subscribing to many other publishers, leveraging user management tools, obtaining usage reports, generating comparisons, and managing your standards collection in a pro-active manner. Intertek Inform offers ASTM through the ASTM Compass platform, so it is not directly embedded in the Intertek platform.
In fact, shortly after Accuris announced their separation from ASTM, Nimonik and ASTM International announced a renewed agreement to offer ASTM standards to organizations around the world through Nimonik’s compliance management software.
Over 12,000 ASTM standards operate globally and underpin materials and testing in nearly every industry. With over 100,000 historical records and ever-evolving standards, staying on top of ASTM’s work is more important than ever. Nimonik and ASTM are excited to continue their collaboration to help organizations meet ASTM standards and stay on top of regulatory change around the world.
