Nimonik is making a number of changes to the CO page that will allow users to have a greater level of customizability. During these changes, some of the existing features may move or change. This page provides an overview of the changes, and information to help ensure a smooth transition.
What is happening?
Users can expect to see three major changes
1. Overhaul of add/delete custom fields page
In order to simplify the page, and prepare for other improvements, Nimonik will make the following changes:
Add/Remove Custom fields (Live)
Rather than showing all account custom fields, and using checkboxes to include and exclude them, users will now be able to select the custom fields that they would like to include using the ‘Add/Remove Custom Fields’ button.
Clicking this button will open a modal where users can select and deselect custom fields from a dropdown list.
When you click save, the selected fields will be added to the register.
Auto-Save
Changes made to the visibility and connected status of custom fields will now be saved automatically. To leave the Add/Remove custom fields page once you have made your desired changes, simply click on ‘Back to CO’
2. Unification of system and custom fields
In preparation for allowing all columns to be reordered, Nimonik will be showing both system fields and custom fields on a single page. This will include the following changes:
Show all fields on one page
All system fields will be moved to the Add/Remove Custom fields page, which will be renamed to ‘Add/Remove/Reorder Register Fields’.
Add ‘Show’ Column to register custom fields page
A new column titled “Show” will be added to this page that will contain a checkbox next to each field. Fields with checked boxes will appear on the CO page. Fields without checkboxes will be hidden on the CO page, but their contents will not be deleted.
Remove Manage System fields page
Once the migration is complete, the manage system fields page will be removed and all register column adjustments will be done on the ‘Add/Remove/Reorder Register Fields’ page.
3. Allow users to reorder all register fields
An icon will be added next to the title of each field. The user will be able to use this icon to click and drag the register fields into the position of their choosing.
Once this is complete, users will be able to move any column to any position in the register. The order of columns in the CO (left to right) will be updated to match the order of fields on the ‘Add/Remove/Reorder Register Fields’ page (top to bottom)
