By ,

We are looking for a bright young mind who wants to learn, build, test and deploy real rails code to our app.

See our report from our first summer intern (summer 2011) Natalie Black here.

Nimonik runs which is written in Ruby on Rails and has a significant business user base. We also offer an iOS software entitled EHSQ Reporter, which allows businesses around the world to perform audits and verifications in the field. You will be working one or more of these projects and contributing to complimentary technical issues. We are a small, but growing start-up located in the hip and dynamic Mile-End area in Montreal. You’ll be working with amazing people, eating well, having lots of fun and learning a great deal. You must be exceptional, to demonstrate your awesomeness, please send us:

  1. Links to projects you have completed (Ruby on Rails highly preferable or iOS)
  2. Links to open-source contributions you have made
  3. Links to something cool you like

You will work under a senior software developer to further build out a web start-up. We are agile developers with high standards for UI and design development.

You should be experienced (or willing to learn fast) in Ruby on Rails and web applications in general. Basic CSS knowledge is good as well. Contributions to open-source projects is highly valued. Above all, keen interest and ability to be quick on your feet. We are a start-up after all!

We will be more than happy to answer questions. You can work from home if you like, though team meetings in Montreal will be required periodically.
