Electronics are a major environmental problems, they are filled with various metals, chemicals and plastics – all attached in such a way as to make recycling very hard. To tackle this issue, governments around the world are putting in place legislation – from WEEE in Europe to the Toxic Reductions Act in Ontario to the Waste Reduction Program in Quebec, governments are realizing the huge cost of e-waste on their environment and landfills.
